So I’ve spent some time at the New Media Expo in Las Vegas the past few days.   I haven’t been on the conference “circuit” for a while, and I hate that phrase…”circuit”.  It denotes that I’m doing something because I have to.  I don’t have to, I want to.  I love people, and I love meeting new people and catching up with friends.

I’ve had people in my life tell me that this “Internet thing” is stupid, unstable, and a hobby.   Go Duck yourself.

Enough.   The internet is just a platform.  A platform that allows talented people to bring their ideas, hopes, dreams, and passions to fruition.    People who don’t understand it, or at least take a few minutes out of their busy lives to listen are close minded.    Television, Radio, any major business…platforms.   Platforms to let people and ideas shine.   Get the Duck over it.

I met a gentleman this week who runs a site called RubberDuckLand.com.   I’m going to write a bigger post about him later, but he pays bills selling Rubber Ducks.

That’s Duckin’ Awesome.

Still not so sure about this “internet thing”?  Look at the people behind the business, not what we use to reach you.
