There has already been a bunch of pleasant surprises so far here at Gnomedex, one of them being seeing Marshall Kirkpatrick here, another seeing Chris Brogan.
Probably something I was stoked about even more was seeing Kris Krug again, the amazingly talented fashion photographer.
There have been a bunch of talks so far about search engines, engaging talks about business 2.0 with Sarah Lacy, but I think the coolest thing I’ve heard so far was something Kris said during his session.
While talking about photography, lighting, and some of the tricks of his trade…he said something along the lines of “When you take a picture of someone, turn the camera around to show it to them…you build that immediate trust if you captured a good shot”.
I’m not a photographer, but I think that carries over to anything. If you write about someone and mention them, show it to them. Regardless of what some people think, some of us actually admire others work and aren’t jealous (or expect anything in return)…but excited to talk about people who know what they’re doing.
If you need fashion photography or just want to talk to someone really smart and passionate about what he does, hit up Kris.
